The business was established in 1986 specialising in Unix and Open Source and has been working with Linux since 1995.Customer projects are at several levels from requirements evaluation to design and implementation, training is also undertaken. Open Source technologies are favoured. Projects include: web, database, email, back office commercial, desktop. A project may take from a day to several months to suit customer requirements.
Projects are typically undertaken through a mix of: working on customer site; remote working/support to customer servers; development at our offices and delivery to you.
PHCL is well connected and able to draw on the appropriate resources of other consultants where the skill set or project size require it. Although we specialise in Open Source we are pragmatic and will work with what produces the best solution.
The principal consultant is Alain D D Williams.
Alain is an able communicator with a solid understanding of Unix/Linux at the operating system and application levels.
